Adoption Timeline

April-May 2012: Begin hunting for agencies.

• May 12: Information with Amara, a local foster-to-adopt agency. Highly impressed with the organization, but learn that they will only consider families that are not planning on relocating for a couple of years. Continue to look
• Locate two open adoption agencies. Begin researching both programs and, after a lot of talking and soul-searching, request an application from one of them. 

July-August 2012: Attend informational meetings and begin filling out paperwork

• July 10: Informational meeting in Seattle
• Adoption agencies learn that we are relocating. Adoption on hold until we relocate to Boston.
