Frost in the hills

Given the Polar Vortex last week, it's amusing to hear the locals complain about 41 degrees F (5 degrees C) weather. But an immediate benefit of the temperature dip, outside of the rainbows, is seeing white dusting the local hills.

A beautiful reminder that there is wonder in the world.

  1. That is so beautiful!

Enjoy your heat wave (we're at zero today).

  2. Gorgeous! Hysterical that polar vortex is 41 near you (my dad wears a winter coat when it's in the 50s in L.A., so it's all relative). We had a "cold" day thanks to windchills of -25 or so. I do love what the frost and the cold does to the trees though, and for you the contrast between the greens and the frosty mountaintops is just beautiful. Ahh.
